Astro tracker & dslr controller
One Arduino Bluno Nano from DFRobot is controlling :
- A very small stepper motor, actively regulated via optical encoder (PID regulation).
- Dslr shutter.
- Dew heater (pwm regulated heating aid to combat dew forming on the front lens).
In this picture
...is a small telescope with 350 mm focal length on a DIY mount. The "Horse Head Nebula" was imaged with 15 x 60 sec exposures. The RoboRemo plot graph is monitoring the mount tracking quality, data is coming from a high resolution optical encoder (branded "Omron").
The USB cable on the floor is to be connected to a tablet (the one running RoboRemo) via OTG adapter, then the images can be inspected (and iso settings etc) can be controlled by another app (QdslrDashboard).
