App keeps disconnecting from ESP8266
check this:
http://android.stackexchange.com/questions/66964/connect-to-wifi-network-even-if-it-doesnt-have-internet-access
Other cause may be a weak power supply for ESP,
or some error in lua code (check the serial output of the ESP when it disconnects).

Hi,
Can you, please, give more details? I did not understand the problem.
You can write in your language if you want, and I will use Google to translate.

Hi,
When you connect the first time, that list is empty, and has only the "other" option.
You select "other", then you enter ip:port, for example 192.168.1.4:9876. It remembers the last 8 options, and you will see them when you try to connect next time.

Re: App keeps disconnecting from ESP8266
Hello,
i used the Code for ArduinoIDE (from RoboRemo.com) with esp8266 nodemcu devkit v1.0 .
Wifi AP works > Android connects to WiFi BUT AFTER THAT the android app connects with the Esp8266 via TCP for approx. 2 seconds and it also receives the "alive" message from esp8266 (the led lights up for a moment in the app u.i.) but after 2 seconds the app says "connection lost" then the led in the u.i. also turns off.Autoconnect in the app is enabled but of no use.i tried it on two Android devices one with lollipop and the other kitkat with the same results Please help

Hi,
Try to do that with a terminal connected to the serial of ESP, it should print the error message, maybe it gets out of memory. Do you have other files in the memory of the ESP?

Re: App keeps disconnecting from ESP8266
Hi,
I've got the same problem, my situation was so weird - after multiple times flashing to ESP it stopped working as it worked half an hour ago. Sometimes I was able to connect to ESP with my phone, sometimes not. When connected to wifi, I was able to connect with roboremo app, but only for few seconds and got "connection lost" in the bottom. The problem was I was full of my ESP memory (I think) so I flashed blank 1mb image (0x00000) with this flasher and then my files after (lua, ino, whatever you're using for your project) and it worked well again. I used ESP-07 module, similar to ESP-12. Be shure to use correct wiring when flashing blank image to your module and good luck!
